Normally done on the front teeth, your dentist will administer a local anesthetic to the area before the reshaping. Next, they will cut and reshape the gum line using a dental laser. The procedure can be done in one sitting and typically takes 1-2 hours. The procedure itself will not be painful as the dentist will numb your gums with a local anesthetic. Your new look will be immediately evident once the procedure is done. The recovery time is usually 2-3 days.
